I know what you mean Mike. Gas is about that price over here on the east side of Missouri.
Wish there was a little more time for camping.

I am getting gas at Sam's club for 1.72 in the metro DC area. I was just thinking yesterday and I should get the camper out and run away for an overnight. It is about 30 here overnight and 60's in the day time. I much prefer the cooler weather to the summer weather.

Here in the land of taxes (Penna) the gas in town is $2.59! Yes that's 2 dollars!

In San Diego the cheapest gas is $2.71.
But I've been camping out in the NV desert behind my ex's family doing some work here and gas yesterday was $1.95 at the cheapest.
2 weeks ago I woke up to 28 degrees. 52 degrees this morning and windy. The electric heater and electric blanket make me snug as a bug in a rug.

Yup, Pappy Wolf* and his predecessors love their taxes. Grrrrr.

I work** about halfway between my home in Pennsylvania and the Ohio border so about half my co-workers are from Ohio. They pay significantly less for gas than I have to.

*I'm going to start calling him Nanny Wolf instead because he spends so much time trying to tell us how to live and work. I hear now he wants to close the liquor stores because of the Covids, because that'll help for...reasons?

Anyhoo, I'm still riding as weather permits, but I have no plans for any camping trips until the season begins next year. Although I was fortunate enough to get in my South Dakota/Sturgis Rally trip this year, that was about it.
I have high hopes for next year...Unless Nanny Wolf decides to cancel motorcycle riding to prevent us from catching the Covids because of...reasons.

**Yeah, I retired. But with nothing else to do while while so much is restricted, I figured I'd earn some money instead of just sitting on my keester. I can spend it next year.
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines.

Have you considered being a snowbird? Florida winter and Missouri summers.
