    riding days are over

    yep,i'm done.turning 88 in five days.time to put my boots and helmet away for good.its been a great 63 years of riding.the sad part is not seeing the hundred's of great friends i have made and made many trips with.all i can say is ride until you know it's time to quit.

    No reason you can't drive a car and join us for some camping.

    I can understand giving up riding, good for you to ride this long. Look forward to seeing you at our gatherings no matter how you get there.

    yes,you are right.i forgot to mention that i plan to travel by car to COWAN GAP NEXT MAY.

    My health is going to limit my distance riding...knees and hips are my issue...but I will be taking my LL with my truck and joining in on a few in 2021 assuming we get this stinking COVID under control. My brother, who is disabled and has COPD, now lives with me. There is just no way I can risk bringing that stuff home to him.

    marysue,i'll bring some pics of my morgan horse and i in 100 mile two day events that we entered in vermont and other states.they were back in 1960's .i had the 1948 harley but wasn't in to camping yet. We did take a 2000 mile trip in 1963 out west on it.good lord willing i will be there in may.
