i looked up some avg. on temp and rain for fairbanks in 2018 and 2019 june 2018 84 max 36 low 59 avg with .02 rain avg day
july 1018 88 max 41 low 65 avg with .03 rain june 2019 88 max 44 low 64 avg with .06 rain july 2019 87 max 51 low 66 avg with .03 rain so i would say july would be the better out of the 2

I have adjusted my schedule, I'm planning leaving the Salt Lake City area on the 22nd of June going through Kalispell, MT.

A buddy and I are looking to take the last week of June, First 2 weeks of July. Leaving Denver.
We both own early GL1800s and I have a Aspen Classic. However.
On this trip I will be on my BMW R1200GS and he will be on his Africa Twin. We plan to tent camp about 50% of the time
Taking a dip in the Arctic Ocean is the goal.

Blowing all my vaca time (3weeks) on this one trip. Wife not 100% pleased. Been wanting to see AK for many years. A serious health scare this fall convinced me its time to dig deep in the bucket list.

111 days we have a couple little trips this spring withthe wing going to freeport maine for like the 10th time taking a 4 day little trip on memorial day then a 3 day camp trip to fishcreek ponds in the adirondacks taking the roll a home thats june 18-21 then the following week i leave on the AT for 5 weeks heading to tuk and alaska anyone else have any plans to alaska?

first ride of the year for me took out the twin still loose gravel out there but the day was 58*

still a go to alaska as long as the border opens back up have like 85 days before i depart so im hoping

I think we've all got our fingers crossed for this to pass and borders to open. I'm doing secondary plans to stay in Canada and a 3rd plan to stay in the province. I've got 13 provincial parks and I've only stayed at 5 of them.

i've been planning this for 2 years and have everything all set in February and now this stands in the way hope everything goes well and everything back open by june if not guess i'll have to wait till i retire and thats in 10 years hope everyone is doing well

It's not looking good for us heading north. The wife thought she read somewhere the border might be open July 1st. Her and her friends had a trip planned for Nova Scotia, but it looks like her trip is cancelled too. Bud and I have decided to go ahead and wait till next year for Alaska. Hopefully it will open up enough where we can do the Blue Ridge Parkway later in the fall.

The 30 day border closure ends on April 19th but the US and Canada are in talks to extend it another 30 days.
