Although I have been on this forum for a couple of years, I really have not posted much. I've been doing a little camping on the bike for over 40 years and am doing it more seriously now than ever. Looks like I may be picking up a used Mini Mate in September. If anyone is planning any trips to Newfoundland (or the Canadian Maritimes in general) feel free to hit me up on any questions on the ferry or campgrounds.

I know I wouldn't take the ST1300 on the Trans Labrador Highway. At least at this time. It is getting better every year I am told. If you want to post in this group http://ridetherock.com/index.php
you should find someone who has been over it recently. I do know some adventure riders who certainly have ridden it and some who have gone up the St. Lawrence shore from Quebec City to Blanc Sabon (Hwy. 138) and did not do the Labrador City to Blanc Sabon route.

And i just realized the video I posted was just about the ferry and riding to Halifax... this is the one I intended to post. At least it has some camping in it. First part of a couple of days in Nova Scotia including camping at Mira River Provincial park and riding near Louisbourg.

I own a Mini Mate and live in Dartmouth. You won't have any problem pulling with an ST 1300.
