Welcome to the forum. Best advice I can offer is allow more room for STOPPING.

                    Re: Alabama

                    Welcome from SW PA.
First and foremost, it takes a lot longer to stop with a trailer. Give yourself plenty of room.
Also, get used to going over bumps and uneven pavement. The trailer will bump the bike around a bit but you'll get used to that quickly. Make sure you distribute the weight in the trailer. You want about 10-15% of the total weight on the tongue. I try to keep mine under 45lbs. A lot depends on what bike you are pulling it with and what trailer hitch you have.
You'll also learn what you need to take with you and what you don't need.

                          Re: Alabama

Hi, From a newly minted southerner (from N. Idaho).
If you can remember the width and weight pulling it should be no problem. Stopping it is where the learning curve is.

Want answers to you questions Here goes. I have always had swivel hitch on my trailers, and do recommend them. (Not everyone may.) I don’t have them for the road accidents so much. But especially down here in the south if your bike falls over on soft / hot / moist grass because of its width the trailer won’t flip over. A swivel hitch may save the undercarriage where the hitch is in contact with.
