Re: alaska june 27 2020
I had planned on leaving the Salt Lake City area during the last week of June but I'm afraid family obligations are going to prevent departure before July 6th. I'm also thinking on 4 or 5 weeks. I've been reading trip reports and collecting info for several years. It's time to start making some decisions and put a plan together.

Re: alaska june 27 2020
A buddy and I are looking to take the last week of June, First 2 weeks of July. Leaving Denver.
We both own early GL1800s and I have a Aspen Classic. However.
On this trip I will be on my BMW R1200GS and he will be on his Africa Twin. We plan to tent camp about 50% of the time
Taking a dip in the Arctic Ocean is the goal.
Blowing all my vaca time (3weeks) on this one trip. Wife not 100% pleased. Been wanting to see AK for many years. A serious health scare this fall convinced me its time to dig deep in the bucket list.

Re: alaska june 27 2020
Rob, most leave then because the weather is milder. That wouldn’t be a problem for y’all in the temps y’all ride in. You might check the long range forecast averages to see if it’s doable.Steve
