You're in for a treat of outstanding views, Randy!
The fun starts at the top of Dead Indian Pass and continues along Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, where you pick up the Beartooth with a continuing visual treat until just before Red Lodge, MT!
Be sure to stop off there (DIP) to check out the views, the winding road below and read about the plight of the Nez Perce tribe on their way through that part of the country.

Thanks Ken, you haven't steered me wrong yet. We'll be coming out of Cody taking what Google Maps identifies as Dead Indian Hill Road (I assume this is Chief Joseph Highway) north to Beartooth, then east to Red Lodge. After Red Lodge we'll be working our way up to Glacier NP.

Randy ... when you get to Red Lodge, turn left and follow hwy 78 up to Columbus, MT.
Much more interesting/scenic/entertaining road than 212 out to I-90!!! ... just watch your speed along there as there is a COP that is a Zealot for speeding bikers.
