    Found a Ural 2002 on CL

    This one has electric problem I think. Ural's make good short ride bikes, right?

    It sounds like a fair price at $5500 for a 2002 with a side car.
    Might need to be good with tools to keep these running, my thinking.

    But they might be a good buy for someone. Is that a good price?

    We ride ours 3 to 4 hundred in a day and haven't had any maintenance issues in 2 years.

      I like the idea of the Ural,,, travel with sidecar but I like to ride distance,,, and they only cruise at 65... OK for off-interstate traveling...

          You aren't supposed to hold them at over 60 for more than a few minutes at a time. 55 to 60 is about it.

            Sounds like it is priced high, if you are interested in a Ural check out the Soviet Steeds web site and forum, you will find lots of info and for sale ads by individuals and dealers.

                I paid $6000 for my 2005 Ural in 2008, and it was an average deal. $5500 for an '02 in 2016 sounds high.

                As for traveling, I've ridden mine all over New England. It will cruise all day at 60 and can be pushed to 65 on the freeway. You can travel with one, if you take your time. Plenty of people do.
