Sidecar camper

Hello--My name is Eddie. I live in northeast Georgia. I am a member of the Georgia Sidecar Club. We have a campout every month with five Fridays at some Georgis state park. We camp all over the state. I really enjoy camping and found this site by accident. I hope to find some other events to do some camping with fellow motorcycle campers.

Re: Sidecar camper

Hey Eddie! Welcome and glad you found us . Great bunch of folks here and lots of stuff to read up on.

I've got an '86 GoldWing Aspencade with a Motorvation FormulaII chair. I'm in the "process of thinking" (i.e.: procrastinating) about moving the hitch from right behind the rear wheel of the bike to more centered on the rig so I can feel better about taking up a whole lot less lane when pulling the camper. I wish winter would set in so I've got a real excuse not to take the dog out riding and get the bike apart...

I've sometimes though about converting the sidecar itself to a sleeper - it's got enough room in there for me to stretch out in and if I convert it to a lift-top, some creative sewing of a tent-like top and placement of snaps to attach it all would make for a pretty comfy place to camp out in.

If you've got any pics - please share them! We all love pictures!!!
