Veentura CA to Ontario OR
We would greatly appreciate any campground recommendations (awesome food stops) from Ventura Ca up Hwy 1 to Crescent City, through Grants Pass to Eugene Or and over to Ontario OR.

We really like the KOA in Crescent city.
You can see Pics of our West Coast and Western US trips on my web site…click on the trailer link too. If you like hairy drives and interesting places, you might want to visit Shelter Cove, Ca...The restaurant there isn’t too bad either. There is a Campground down there but did not stay there. |

Re: Veentura CA to Ontario OR
Well, it's just me talking here, but I'd prolly : from grants pass, north on Interstate 5, to at least Eugene, cutting eastward to Bend. In my opinion east of there is kind'a sucky. Thus; i'd avoid riding through Klamath Falls and Lakeview.
While the roads , trees, camping, and riding are VERY on the way to Klamath, it's less so, or even sucky, east and north But i say so cause i like pines, and ferns; over dry open stretches....

Smokit2;
Did you do this trip??? Any input on good places / general thoughts??? flailer gives thumbs-up on these things for you to consider -Jacksonville, just left of Medford (west) is a good stop, just in case you havent gone yet. -Ashland is a cool hippie-town, VERY nice day-use park, outdoor plays and the like. -The Rogue River demands to be ridden next to (Merlin exit, to Galice) - Just east of Eugene is very nice too, if memory serves. Waldo lake maybe? Hot Springs too ..... - South Umpqua falls (if i didnt already say so)
