Look up Elio or Morgan . I think the Elio will outsell the spider by leaps and bounds. I think the spider is way over priced. I like their looks but not the price. the Morgan is way out of my range also.

Hmmmm, this could be turned into a monster considering some of the horsepower numbers that the Ecotec engine is turning out in drag race trim! It really would live up to it's "Slingshot" name with 700 horsepower!

I don't think the Elio really fits in this discussion.. they are going more after the econo-car crowd. Full perimeter roll cage with air bags all around, full AC and heating, integrated blue-tooth stereo system with choice of either automatic or stick with standard car driving ergonomics. I know that a lot of states are still going to require a MC license to drive one (thus far) but it's really an economy car, not a triked mc. Course, the fact that you'll be able to pick one up for 6800 bucks and it gets 68 mpg, I'm thinking I'll have one for the wife to drive back and forth to work.

I see a lot of rear tires being replaced on the Slingshot and with all the hp maybe the drive belt too.

    Also on Wired.com http://www.wired.com/2014/07/polaris-three-wheel/

    Similar to a T-Rex....

The T-REX 16S is powered by a 1.6-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine supplied by BMW Motorrad. Developing 160 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 129 lb-ft (175 Nm) of torque at 5,250 rpm, the engine is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox that sends power to the chain-driven rear wheel.
