    weather apps

    Just got a new tablet just wondered what ever bodies favorite apps were specially for weather am new to this app business. I don't even text on my phone old style I guess

    Which tablet? Intellicast on ipad is pretty tough to beat.

    I like the weather channel.

    the local stuff is accurate... but having the radar is invaluable. Can also now place a route.. and it will super impose your route with the radar. Kinda cool.

    I have "My-Cast" by garmin have used it for at least 5 years as a truck driver and a motorcyclist I use it daily

    I've got accuweather which is pretty good - it's got a nice desktop widget for android. When it comes to finding out what's really going on in near real time, I fire up the browser and head over to http://www.wunderground.com. Several selectable radar maps (regional, local, national) as well as a radar overlay on a satellite image. Pretty cool!

    Try "Weather Bug"... it gives you local weather, daily, seven day, or hourly. I also has animated radar to show weather heading your way. And, it even has a lightening strike finder so you know how far away the lightening is, with map. It's free for Android

    NECN New England Cable News from Comcast has a nice little app. Not limited to new england.
