Twin Knobs Campground - Cave Run Lake

This is a very nice, but fairly expensive National Forest campground, set on Cave Run Lake.
The young girl at the gate house was totally clueless
This well manicured park is quiet and in an nice area. Campsites were quite nice and all had a view/partial view of the lake in the loop I was camped in (Loop E).
All the campsites have a picnic table, fire ring and at least 1 lantern pole. (mine had 2) Water, clean flush toilets/hot shower house close by.
The campground has a camp store with limited supplies and firewood for a fee. No WiFi that I know of.
The lake seems to be popular with those who like to fish

    Ken,

I just realized that you never put the state/province in your campground reports. I could google and find it, I know, but I can't be the only one that is guessing where these places are.

That's because I have them listed under the states/provinces that these reviews are listed under, Richard. Thought it would be redundant adding the state when it is already listed.

    Ken,

I just saw that. My bad. I was picking them off the Unread Posts link and had missed the part about the state being where you had posted. Sorry.

NO Problem at all my friend!!
I figured that was the situation.

When I make a post, it's usually pretty complete, with all the pertinent, needed info/links, included .

Stayed at Twin Knobs last Fall...really a beautiful part of the State and a lot of very good roads in about any direction one decides to travel. Great campground by the way..thanks for this in-depth review.

We stayed there one night last year on our way home from the West Virgina camp out and really enjoyed it. Plan on going back sometime.
