Lost Bridge West State Rec Area - Salamonie Lake

This is a former A.C.E. Campground, now run by the IN DNR

I stayed in the Apple Orchard Primitive Area of this large campground and was the only one there . I had a, picnic table, fire ring and there was a clean vault toilet and drinking water close by. The 4 Shower Houses are by the sites with electric, up the road a piece and ice is available by Shower House 3.
The grounds were well kept, all roads are paved and it was a very quiet park.
Not sure if this park has a camp store or not, but there is a gas station nearby, with very limited supplies.
Unfortunately I was pressed for time at this park, having other things to do and a time deadline to get there, so I never got a chance to explore this large campground
Overall, this seemed like a nice campground.

Ken, Is this campground located beside a river? I think we've camped there before but had forgoten the name of the campground.

I've done so much with so little for so long ... Now I can do nearly anything with almost nothing.

George .... the campground as a whole, is located along Salamonie Lake, which is a resevoir, which I believe is a damed up branch of the Wabash River(?)
