Looks real nice, (great pics). I've been wanting to return to the area sometime for a quick getaway. Just a few hours away for me.
BTW- Ken,,,,,,,,,, did you see any Elk in the area?? I'd like to do some "Elk viewing" while there. Just not sure where the best area would be for it.

Benezette Pa. off of 555 to the west of Loleta campground. When we went there last year, we saw a few Elk. One at the side of the road. It was a nice ride too. All the roads are scenic. Alex, Greg , and myself had a great ride and good lunch.

Sorry Dave ... never saw any and never heard any bugling either.

If you want to view some Elk, check out the area around Benezette, which would make a nice day ride from here and back.

Yeah,,, I thought that would be the case. I was out that way a few years back,, and I talked with some locals about the Elk. Just curious if they were near the CG area.
I've thought of going to a camp near where the Elk would be, and have a chance to see them maybe in the later hours. That way, I wouldn't be far from camp if it gets dark. You know me,,,,, not much of a night rider

Dave ... Elk are usually more active during the daylight hours than deer.

Just thought I'd add a few more photos of this campground taken during my most recent visit on Sept 19, 2014. ...

Covered picnic shelter along the side of the river, closest to the electrical sites .....

Covered picnic shelter on the far side of the river (same side as the shower house) ....

View of the Mens Room and shower .....

I walked up to the Upper Loop where the Primitive campsites are and took some shots. .....

While I'm sure they are quiet, if you don't have a two wheel drive Ural and it rains (does a fair amount of that there) you could have a tough time getting out of some of those campsites, especially if towing a camper, as the hillside funnels the runoff right into some those camp sites.
Also a long way to the showerhouse
