This campground is set amongst a stand of Ponderosa pine, along Davis Lake, 12 miles north of Portola, CA.

This fairly quiet, pleasant campground is comprised of a couple of loops with above average size sites, with some sites providing more shade than others.
Each site is provided with a picnic table and a fire ring. Water spigots and vault toilets are scattered around the campsites. No electric, WiFi, or showers, although coin operated showers are available at nearby Grasshopper Flat campground (just before this one) which was the campground I was originally going to stay at, but was closed down at time of my visit, for renovations.

Gas, groceries and supplies can be obtained in nearby Portola.

This campground is not far from some great back roads riding, namely SRs 89, 49 and the Golden Lakes Highway.
It is also an easy day ride to Lassen Volcanic NP., Lake Tahoe, or Reno, NV and back
