    Just started motorcycle camping

    Hey everybody,

I took my first motorcycle camping trip to Tennessee and North Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Had a blast. I've been bitten by the camping bug. Scratching the itch led me to this site. I hope to gather some valuable information from you more seasoned moto campers. I look forward to our shared interest.

My camp set up in Cruso, NC, Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground.

Welcome to the campfire shnev. Pull up a chair and join the conversation. Lot's of good info to be found around here. But if by chance you don't find it, just ask.

Welcome. You couldn't have picked a better place for your first camp out than the BRMC.

Actually, I rode from Pineville, LA to Tellico Plains, TN on the first day. I believe it was around 650 miles. I stayed my first night at Hunt's Lodge before moving to BRMC. I threw up a one man tent for that short stay.

I know I took more than I needed for the trip...2 tents, 2 sitting stools, 1 high back chair, 2 ice chests, 1 single mattress, 1 full size blow up mattress, and other nick nacks that I thought I would need. I learned that I can trim a lot of weight off the trailer on the next trip.

Welcome from the Sunshine State............ My advise, STOP!!!!!!!! It's more addictive then crack cocaine and heroin. Just kidding................well, maybe not 100%.

Right now I'm going through withdrawals waiting for the first week in September. Heading up to North Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee for a week of moto-camping

It's a little to HOT here in Florida to even go outside!!!!!!!!!!!!
