    Johnson Shut Ins

New campground at Johnson Shut Ins is above the high water mark and is a great campground with nice hot showers and electric at most sites. Paved interior roads and flat camp sites. Lots of senic sites in the area.

This is a truely a great new camp ground. I am thinking the camp store opens after April 15th. This is a new camp across the road from the old one that got washed away.

Has cabins, electric sites, and non-electric. Even has some walk in camp sites. Has Wi Fi, a cloths washers and dryers, fire wood, showers, and more. There are Reserved spots and first come, first served.

Lets not forget some of the best roads in Missouri. I live only a short 30 mile drive away, but I will be spending some nights there.

If I can help with any info, please send me a PM. Be glad to help with any trip planning, road info.

I didn't know they had the new section open. I'll have to check it out this summer.

I camped there four nights near the end on March. I did some day hikes while my two sons back packed on the Ozark Trail. they ended their hike at the campground and spent two nights there with me. I camped in my Bunkhouse, but I used my truck to pull it from southern Indiana. Very nice campground.
