    Hello Steve
My name is Russ, thanks for the trip report was a nice read. How did you like the ammo cans as luggage. Do you think they are much heavier than other cans.
What would you say is the best item you took with you.

Thanks for the kind words Russ. The ammo cans worked well back in 09 for this trip report and also my trip this summer to Alaska. From everything I read they are about 10 to 15 pounds heavier than the various aluminum luggage. I could probably shave a pound or so by removing the carry handles. They would probably be a bit quieter as well. They have always been water tight and they take a beating.

    Thanks Steve
I was thinking the small ones I have picked up were heavy, so the large ones made me ask. How was the second trip for as much fun as the first, or were you able to soak in more because it wasn't so new.

Was this trip as good as the one this summer? They both sound like great trips, but witch one was best?

Re: My 09 Alaska Trip with Black and Blue..........

This trip I had more time and saw some of the southern part of the state. We had better weather on the trip in 09, and I had zero issues with the bike other than me bending the wheel. I ate a lot better on the trip in 09 thanks to Colleen's cooking! The trip this summer I also got to come down the west coast and then head east taking in the Bonneville Salt Flats. The only regrets I have on the trip was not having the time to get to meet up with Festus and Whosoever.
