Re: So what’s everyone doing during to pass the time?

I have the bike all ready to go, but with this lock down, I haven't even been out for my 1st ride of the season yet!
Been trying out new recipes, a new tent and tried hanging a hammock in my back yard, as well as making a fire wood box for my rear yard fire pit
Main thing though is just keeping safe and physical distancing

Ken, I like the looks of that tent, especially the height. How do you think it will hold up in the wind?

Actually Rick, it held up fine to some 50 mph gusts that we had roll through here the other day. One peg let go due to the soft/wet ground, but the tent itself stood up to it fine with the guy lines pegged out!
The inside height of the tent (68") is what I really liked about it as well!

Today was computer day around here. I been having issues with my gaming desktop locking up for no reason. I have tested hardware until I am blue in the face so today I did a reformat, clean install, and only installed 1 game...nothing else. I am using MS antivirus on it and even using the Edge browser where I would normally run Norton suite and Chrome browser. If this does not lock up on me for the next month then I will look at adding items back 1 per week.

Re: So what’s everyone doing during to pass the time?

Hello my friends. It’s been a while since I posted here. Got out of touch when I moved to Nevada. I really miss the East and Central states riding and camping. I failed at being retired and found a job as a tech writer for manufacturing. Now, the factory has been closed for four weeks so I've been working half time from/at home. Built a green room for sprouting vegetable plants and herbs. Got carried away with adjustable grow lights and ventilation fans. Will have a good head start on the garden this year. Spend a week organizing the garage and building much needed storage shelves. Finally had a chance to do some in-depth maintenance on the Spyder. Brakes, Clutch, Oil and Lube. Have yet to install the SpeedBleeders. I get out solo riding about twice a week. Practicing social distancing.
    Stay safe.

Re: So what’s everyone doing during to pass the time?

Normally around this time I start making sure my tents are prepared and waterproofed, double checking all my camping gear, making preliminary plans and some early campground reservations, planning potential routes, and getting some early motorcycle maintenance done.

    Normally.

In the midst of the current cold spell, the tent stuff will have to wait, I can't make any reservations or concrete plans, and it turns out that except for updating my first aid supplies, my gear is all ready to go.
So I guess the motorcycle maintenance is on the list. I just ordered some motor oil. When that comes in, an oil change will be first on the to do list.

Otherwise, I'm just happily puttering around at home.
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines.

Cut the grass and fertilized. Straightened and painted the mailbox. Finished all
my prep on the camper and changed the oil and plugs on the bike. We’re still
Social Distancing around here and since nobody else wants to help me wash,
wax and paint our sailboat I’m being socially responsible working by myself for
a few days. Wonder how many beers this will take.

Never thought I would get excited by a trip to the vet but I actually took a shower, put on jeans instead of sweats, and am waiting for the vets office to open.

Just moved to Southern Georgia so I’mfilling a roll-off with previous owner’s trash. (One man's trash is another man’streasures.) No treasures found!

BUT riding is paramount! The motorcycle isa great machine for social isolation! One person, max of 2. And I don’t wantanybody closer than 6 feet.
