Thread: Hope

    Re: Hope

A first today for me and Mrs. Menhir...

We did our Senior Citizens Only Hour shopping trip at the local grocery store at 6:00AM.

They must have really done their sanitizing job. I could smell it still in the air. Good.
The efforts these businesses are making are truly appreciated.

When I wondered what retired life would be like last November, I never thought it would be like this.

Haven’t ventured away from the homestead in nearly two weeks, and have no intentions of doing so anytime soon.
We’re stocked pretty good, and if we do need anything, we’ll have it brought to us.
Have firewood to cut, so staying busy. No cabin fever here.

Glad to hear everyone is coping so well so far. I've been lurking on here to keep up to date on things. I know alot of us on here are older kids. Stay safe everyone, hope to see you on the road soon.

I haven't been able to find any TP in the stores here. Although we are well stocked, I don't have any sears catalogs to hang in the outhouse, I am going to start saving my Harbor Freight catalogs and hope they will do the job.

Judy and I are doing okay, miss seeing our grown children and the grandkids, lucky to have a Dollar General near us, old farts hour every morning 8-9, so far they have had toilet paper in stock. Had to go to Walmart last week to pick up meds, they were out of eggs, milk, bread, most meat cuts including ground beef, did pick up a pound of ground Bison. No Tylenol or Excedrin that I need for knee pain. Not to make it political, but we are all getting a chance to see what life is like under socialism, restricted freedom of movement, and assembly, shortages of essentials, lots of folks out of work, and the list goes on. Depressing, stay safe.
