Best sandwich in each state.... do you agree?

Here I found a site showing each state and the best sandwich and where to get it.

I found some I had not heard of. Some I want to try. Look and see your state's sandwich.
See if you agree. Have you been to the cafe or place they serve it.
Maybe you have another choice you can post it too.
Maybe we can keep track of places to try as we travel the next season....

    IOWA was spot on

Taverns or Loose Meats as we called them in Iowa,
    Maid-Rites chain

I lived four blocks from Miles Inn in Sioux City, where the sandwich is sold under the name the "Charlie Boy" and also includes a slice of American cheese which is meantioned .
Yes they are the best Sandwhich in Iowa.
They sold two of them and a Icey cold Schooner of beer for cheap at lunch time back in the day and last time I drove by it was still too cheap, but any beer is good if cold enough.

Thanks for sharing this Mike! Kentucky's is the Hot Brown. I agree, and somewhere on here Gary Moody posted a picture of me eating one from Patti's when he and I camped at LBL.

Pa is pretty close to the end of the list so I had to look at a lot of sandwiches to get there and a lot of them looked pretty good.

There MUST be something better than the Elvis sandwich 'fools gold'

I ate at the Colorado Mine Company several times back in the 80s but was never tempted to try one of these. We all thought it was more of a joke menu item.

In the 60's on 12th and Troost in KC MO. A street vendor near where I worked
had pig snoot sandwich, you could see them in a big gallon jar. I had to pass on that,
    never tried one. LOL

I'm surprised it wasn't the pick then on the site. Some Philly cheese steak thing made it...

I've talked to folks who swear that the lobster roll at "Red's" is the best, I don't know. Being from Aroostook County originally, lobster is too rich for my taste. For good sandwiches I'd recommend Big G's Deli in Winslow. Big slabs of fresh home made bread, large portions, and great fries. http://big-g-s-deli.com/
