We've never had an organized camp-out for on here North of the border, might be something different for a lot of us. We've traveled a bit up there but have never camped, always did the B&B.

There are lots of good National and Provincial Parks in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Just saying...

I really enjoyed/appreciated getting to see your videos... how do you keep from having bears licking/cleaning your bacon-grease pans & fire starter paper towels?... your "rig" seems very well sorted!... thanks again for sharing your trip!

We do have some black bears in the province but I've never encountered one at a campsite. Moose yes. Foxes yes... but they were politely begging. (didn't feed them) I do use bear boxes in parks where they are available for my kitchen tote, the pots and pans tote as well as the cooler. I am hoping to do some more "boondocking" type camping in September... so critters are going to be one of my concerns. So far, squirrels stealing my potato chips off my table have been my worst encounters.

I've had squirrels steal food off the table at a few camps. Crows have walked around looking for scraps but the squirrels will come right up while you're standing there and steal what ever they can haul off.
