This guy has camped for over 40 years...

So you want to quit working and go camping.

This guy did it over 40 years ago. Lives on about $500 a month he says.

Quite a story. The bearded guy interviewing him, has many videos, of other campers.

    Hope you like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjTGF4jPdCY

Here is his camper he has at this point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saPmaa3HtKA

I had some of his thoughts in mind when I built my cabin, a place to live, on not to much money.

Speaking of long time campers ... What ever became of Ara and his sidekick Spirit? ... (Beemerchief on the forum) ... Drove a BMW sidecar rig all over the western states ...
We met up with Ara & Spirit down in Big Bend Texas a few years back, and had a chance to swap some recipes with him ... Boy did he have stories of his adventures to tell ...

I've done so much with so little for so long ... Now I can do nearly anything with almost nothing.

Spirit passed away and Ara is now living in New Mexico but without a sidekick. Still goes up in the mountains around him but hasn't done long rides in quite awhile. Can catch up with what he is doing on his website.

I read his book, have it on kindle. That dog, with his helmet and googles was cool. Sorry to hear the dog passed.
He was a chef right? He had a great adventure, in the Big Bend area. Made me want to go there. Never did...yet.
