My set up for the final.. before planning a Alaska trip just got back from 3500.0 miles trip
All good with Trike & Pod Camper!! Total weight all gear 789-825.. tongue weigh of 89-90 lbs.
Just keep in mind safety is always frist.
Been pulling teardrop for last 31/2year.. got over 20,000. On my..
a nice step up from sitting up tents are Tent campers ...
A new teardrop the road toad campers. Little bit lighter just came to market in 2019.

To each their own.. but trying to yank a 450-500lb EMPTY camper around behind a bike.. nah. The only one of the teardrop types I was every really interested in never really make it to market. Danged if I can remember the name now. The guy was a member on here and he had this really trick micro-teardrop that pulled apart and only weighed like 150lbs or something. Sheesh I hate it when I can't remember names and stuff... I can draw you a diagram of how the camper worked and narrate the video's he did.. but I can't say his name or the name of the camper.
EDIT: Found it! Took me a bit of searching, but it looks like he's actually got a salable product!

This version is considerable heavier than his prototype.. I think it weighed 120lbs, but this one looks like it'll last longer than you will. The only real downside to this that I could never get an answer to is what do you do to enclose the sleeping area if it rains/snows etc? I mean, it would be simple as pie to get one of those 10'X10' canopies to put over it.. but he has to have something other than that!
