Old picture but. This load out took me thru New York, and twice to Georgia for camping trips.
What year is it? I have one at home that looks really close to that. Those are probably my all time favorite Gold Wings. Way before they got big and complicated. Nice looking bike you have.

It's an 86 Interstate. It was showing 95,000 when I gave it to my son in 2012, still running like a clock. I'd buy it all over again if it had the power and brakes that my ST has. The 1200 wing was actually 5LBs lighter with 2gal. less fuel capacity than my ST1300. Of course it was also rated at 35 less HP. Sorry for the slow reply...

We met up in AR on 5/4-6. We're trying to put together some more GTGs in the future. Just search the other site for Twisted Trophies. There are a couple being planned.

Older post but looks like you carry a a big bear roll up camping cot. I've carried one for the last 4 years, bulky bastard but comfortable. Nice Trophy btw, I ran a 1999 for 70k miles and loved everyone of them.

Yes, that is the cot I use. I'm going back and forth between that cot and an air bed. Not sure which is best. The air bed will win out most likely. I really love my Trophy. It is the best bike I have owned. It is so very nice for touring.

I have to agree. If my knees are not killing me, I much prefer my air mattress over my cot. But even using a cot, I usually place some sort of air mattress or Synmat over it just for comfort.
