Well guys, it is finally happening. We, my Dad and I, have left on our trip to Glacier NP and we're excited. Following some of your suggestions, we decided to go to Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP and the S.A.C. Air Museum in NE. We agreed this would give is more riding time and fewer long straight driving days. The Olympic Penn will have to wait. Thanks to those who made great suggestions for places and routes.

So far, the weather is great! A little rain, but not bad at all.

The trip, so far, is great. We rode the East and West loop around Lake Koocanusa and we did the Glacier Sun road today in both directions. The weather was great and traffic was minimal considering. Thanks to whomever suggested going both directions. It is different. Tomorrow we leave for Yellowstone. I'll check in in a day or two.

Yellowstone was beautiful and there is plenty of wildlife. The only negative is the traffic caused by people who stop in the middle of the road to take a picture. Why don't they pull off to do so. We encountered some Bison walking down the middle of the road today. Traffic stopped and we all just let them pass between all the cars. Two of them were within 6 ft of me. There was nowhere to go, so I just sat there on my Triumph and watched them pass.

Pretty cool but a little unnerving when you realize a flick of the head could leave you and your beautiful Triumph laying on your side. Sounds like an awesome ride.

Yea, I was a little concerned. I didn't make any fast moves or look them in the eye. It was amazing how large and powerful these animals are. They must be treated with respect and a little fear. I did not put myself in that proximity to them. They moved into traffic and everyone just stopped to let them do as they please. They moved in front of and around the cars and we all just let them pass. No one was stupid enough to get out and approach for pictures.

The following day, we road down to Jackson Hole, WY. We had a very nice ride. The weather was perfect and we did about 260 miles that day. Each of our day rides have been between 200 and 300 miles so far.
