KOA’s have everything but peace and quiet. Most campgrounds will have
showers. Check out the campground reviews listed here. There are some
pretty good write ups to look over.

You can check the KOA website for the particular campground you are interested in and view the amenities.

    You got that right.

I usually avoid them, not because they are bad campgrounds, but because I prefer quieter and more relaxing camping.
They almost always have all the amenities, with a side order of noise, rampant golf carts raging around, kids on bicycles riding through the campsites, and not much solitude.
Some of those places are like amusement parks with tents.

Regardless, although they are not my first choice, they are not really a bad choice.
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines.

It's not a "KOA" but a decent campground in Montrose, Co. Cedar Springs RV Park. It's behind the Red Arrow Motel on 50 going east. They have cabins besides tent camping and rv spaces.

Re: gonna give moto camping a try....question about KOA

Many years ago (before computers and the innerwebs) I carried with me a KOA campground directory booklet when traveling and motorcycle camping. It came in handy several times.
I don't know if they still have these free directory guides at the campgrounds anymore since most everything is online these days.

UPDATE: I just went to the KOA website and appears you can download a KOA directory PDF or if so inclined you can get a KOA app for your phone. Didn't see anything about the hard copy booklet, tho.

I haven't camped at a KOA in a long time as I feel their prices for just pitching a small 2 man tent is a bit high.

And to answer your original question, every KOA that I have stayed at had showers and to the best of my memory they were all clean.

The vast majority of National Forest campgrounds in CO do not have showers.

The vast majority of State and National Parks DO have showers!

KOA's .... couldn't tell you as I never have stayed at any of their establishments

There are ways to keep 'sanitized' without having a shower every night, or you can pack along a compact portable shower bag if you must have a shower every day/night. Just have to be 'discreet' where you set up.
