Yes, used hardware store red rattle can spray paint made for plastic, then a clear coat. Looked good for about one year then started with the micro cracks. When I sold it it still looked good from about 10 feet away, looked OK up close but you could see the cracks.

wanted to save some money by trying to do it myself if possible, in keeping with the spirit of Harbor Freight "cheapness".

Krylon makes a rattle can for painting plastic. I believe it says fusion on the label. I have used it several times and it looks good. I get it at Home Depot.

I think that is what I used but the HF topper is flexible plastic so going down the road, opening and closing the top and hot/cold still caused my small spider-web cracks.

Am I missing something or has Harbor Freight removed all listings for their trailers from the website? Anyone else seeing this?

    I believe it's just a temporary thing.
Rumour has it the tires on all their trailers did not meet national safety standards/code(?)

My tag along was involved in the light recall but not the tire recall. I had already put the led replacement lights on when I got the trailer so gave the ones they sent me to a friend.

Northern Tool seems to have the same trailers plus a few more. Including the tag-along. It's more money too.
