    Worst camping purchase of 2017

I started a thread of what was best purchase in 2017 but forgot to put up what was my worst.

Small Hammock link is HERE. There is nothing wrong with the item. It is well built, easy to hang, and just as advertised. My issue is all my other hammocks are 10 to 11' long and this one is not. I purchased it to leave in the LL just for lounging but it's uncomfortable enough I am going to find it another home to live in.

So jump in. What did you buy that you now regret.

Without a doubt, the Camp Chef Stryker propane stove and heat shield!

I had pretty high hopes for it but .... NOT to be.
I gave what was left of it away at the North Cascades NP Camp Out

A cheapie Walmart replacement saw me through the rest of the trip

I have plenty of other stoves as well (5), but I was hoping THAT one would've stood up better than what it did.

Looks like I'll keep to my Snow Peak Giga stove for reliable service and compactness.

Since I camp off the bike, I've been trying to go back to basics and reduce the size of my gear. That being said I bought a one man bivy tent from Walmart(I wanted to try a cheap one before spending much $$)--Glad I did. The tent did what it was supposed to, however too small is too small! Back to the drawing board!

Take a look at the MSR Hubba NX. Great small, lightweight tent. I didn't want to use a bivy since I like having a vestibule for my gear.

Probably THESE solar flashlights (twin pack on Amazon in the link). One failed right out of the box. The other is so dim (even after a day's worth of solar charge) that it's basically only good for a night light.

    In a word, "Worthless".
