Wow u like hwy 50? HAHA!! I guess some might like it..me and Haze found it a bit unnerving..I am from flatland and am not used to all those neverending curves on mountains..However I will endure it again to get there...I avoided a lot of it last year on our way there as there was a detour..

Oh yes, I really like 50. Twisties are my thing. I learned to ride (and drive) in UPSTATE New York on hilly, curvy roads. Riding a motorcycle on the twisties is fun for me. I'm not as much of a fan hitting the curves on a bike fully loaded with camping gear, but it's still doable and fun.

I will be coming back to Florida from a workamping gig in NW Wisconsin that time of year anyway, and Blackwater Falls is not that much out of my way. Maybe I can finally make one.

Plugged it into BaseCamp for the return to winter camp route.

True! When I lived in Western Maryland, we used to ride WV a lot. Took a club to Elkins a few times too.

Hope to see you there! Where in FL are you at this year?

Good choice IMO. I discovered St. Augustine the same way. Moto-Camped there years ago and ended deciding to stay and buy a place. Have to decide when I retire between Florida and Hawaii. Love Hawaii but it's just so darn remote.... and expensive. By comparison, Florida is a bargain.

    Enjoy.

If I could find something monthly as inexpensive as I have in Inverness at this small RV park, I'd move a bit further south.

I plan to get a 30' (or so) race trailer and have it converted to a RV toyhauler. Probably while I'm in Wisconsin workamping. I can still use that here, they have a few spaces big enough and already said they'd slot me in once I get it.

Then during Spring/Summer/Fall months, I'll tow it around the country, find a base camp most nights, and explore with the trike.

If anyone is going to Sturgis this year, I will be there 3 or 4 nights. I'll only be 500 miles from Sturgis on 90, so I can get there in a day. And back.
