We wear mesh jackets and pants. When it gets cold we use our heated jacket liners

    Re: Riding gear

    My usual summer riding gear...

    First Gear padded mesh jacket.
    Draggin Jeans
    Cortech Solution Boots and
Corazzo Velocitta Gloves. These are very popular with the scooter crowd and almost unheard of with the motorcycle crowd. I love 'em.

I have three helmets right now, A Scorpion Transformer Modular, which covers all the bases but I find a bit heavy and confining. I always used it for long rides and tours.
A Cycle Gear half-helmet which I used to use for hot summer day riding and milk runs and most recently, a
Cycle Gear 3/4 with a flip down visor which has become my favorite go-to helmet...I pretty much wear it for all riding now.

The Jacket and Boots are getting into the thirteenth year. They've held up well. The boots are so well broken in and comfortable that I've had them resoled once already. I can get off the bike and walk in them all day long and often go hiking in them too.

I'm on my third pair of Corazzo gloves. They last, but I finally wore out the first pair and lost them somewhere in Deadwood SD. I lost the replacements a years or so later near Washington DC. I'm keeping a closer watch on my third pair.

I'm on my second pair of Draggin Jeans. They hold up well, too.
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines.

We wear Aerostich Darien Jackets and Pants so we have armor and waterproof gortex so we don't need to carry rain gear. We can wear them up to about 90 degrees then this
Alaskan has to take it all off.

    Depending on conditions ....

Most versatile is all mesh gear with associated wind/rain and thermal liners added/removed as needed,

Full textile for colder weather conditions. .....

Full leathers for those 'in between' conditions. ....

Supplemented with a Tour Master heated jacket liner for cold conditions (I also have Tour Master heated chap liners and warm & safe heated socks for extreme conditions) and Frogg Toggs rain gear

    Thumbs up Re: Riding gear

    Full face GMAX modular helmet.
First Gear 3 season jacket with DIY heated liner or not depending on temp.
Cycle Gear mesh pants and liner if needed.
    Over the ankle lace boots.
Full finger Gauntlet gloves with DIY heated liners.
    Neck gaiter for cold temps.
Always pack an inexpensive set of rain gear with jacket and pants that fit over my riding gear.

    Re: Riding gear

I wear an Aerostch Roadcrafter Lite 1 piece with a Gerbing jacket liner and gloves. Weather warms up I wear just the suit with all the vents open. If it gets too warm I wear Aerostich Darien lite pants and a Fieldshear carbolite jacket.

Aerostitch Roadcrafter 1 piece year round with LDComfort tights and shirt. Add Gerbing heated jacket liner and pants liner if needed. I do need to find some waterproof over gloves though. YMMV

Neck gaiters. I didn't mention them in my first post because I was only speaking of my warm weather choices. I use one in cold weather...far better than a scarf because one doesn't have to deal with the lose ends.

But I also use a thinner version in the summer almost every time I'm on the bike...One of the convertible types...My choice is the Motley Tube.
It won't loosen up like a bandanna, keeps bugs out, lessens the chill on cold mornings, keeps my beard from flying around, protects my neck and nose from sunburn, and easily converts to a makeshift do-rag when the helmet is off.
It's one of my favorite choices of "optional" gear.

They are sold on Amazon, too.
