Rumor has it that this fellow was seen being handcuffed and his bike being hauled away.
We're not like this because we ride...we ride because we're like this

Geez, you're kinda puritanical aren't ye? He was on a residential side street, with a chase car behind him... LOL!! Unless the roadway is iced over, it's not too bad at moderate speeds...

I know once upon a time when it was all snowed over like that my dad would hook up sleds behind his dirt bike and take us sledding. My how the times have changed..

My favorite snow activity growing up was bumper skiing... Back then our streets were seldom salted, and the hard pack made excellent conditions to sneak a tow, sometimes for several city blocks! Leather soles were recommended, and doubled up gloves made for a great evening of fun...

Three more days of this, then a week or so of seasonable temps...

No snow here, just cold and breezy. Can't picture no snow in Alaska, must be weird...

Great to get a short reprieve, calling for snow this coming weekend...

Re: Who turned off the heat?

The temperatures went from -5* on Sunday morning and climbed quickly to the 20's as the day progressed. It's remained above freezing ever since and is expected to be in the 50's by the weekend.

Of course, now we've had a day of snow and some freezing rain while the warm-up progressed, but it's better than freezing fingers. I'm more than happy this last three weeks of abnormally low temps is over. Now I'm the waiting for the next heating and electric bills for my home and business which are likely to be epic.

I'm looking forward to Spring more than ever. Thoughts of an early, maybe April, trip to the Great Smokey Mountains to kick off my motocamping year keep me a little warmer while I'm waiting.
I don't need a compass to know which way the wind shines.
