DuPont which is now called Axalta, same paint, different name. They have a lower cost product that is branded Nason that I have used when I restored the Father in Law's tractor years ago. It was a pretty good product.
Nason Clear is very good and about half the price of Dupont (Axalta)

I use 400 or 600 grit to sand before I start spraying paint. I don't sand between coats. Then when the paint is dry and if I need to buff the finish, I will sand it. Depending on how rough the finish is ,I will choose the grit I start with and finish with 1500. Then start with the buffer and compound.

We sarted with 400 -800 prior and will monitor the looks as we paint. Others recommended between the rest no. So the looks will determine the amount I do. I have just enought for hopefully three coats.
