I've noticed that the horn on many motorcycles isn't very loud. You might want to take a look at installing an air horn. I'm certainly tired of inattentive drivers swerving into my lane and completely ignoring the horn blast from my motorcycle. I recently picked up a Wolo chrome air horn. Just waiting for some free time to install it.

I do have an after market horn that pretty loud, but in the panic I didn't lay on it very good... (need dual train horns ).

Looks to me like there was a rear view2 mirror in that pickup, should have used it.

Maybe forty feet when he suddenly began backing, then he appeared to be stopping before backing further... (I was sure that he knew I was back there). My options at that point were not apparent to me, so I braced for a possible collision. He soon stopped and got out to see what made the noise and said he never saw me... No good choices except maybe in hind sight!

Hope they take care of you good. We had a city cop pull out in front of us in Erin Tn. Too close to keep from hitting and they took care of everything.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the odds are stacked against me, but we'll see...

I just got my outside estimate from a reputable repair shop specializing in GL/VTX bikes... A little over $7K! Still waiting on the County insurance adjuster to let me know their acceptance of liability. If they give me trouble, then Ill be filing a claim with my own insurance and let them fight it out... Looks like another totalled out bike to me?

Yea, either $7K or the price to total it, which ever is cheaper for the insurance. The problem is that a lot of times you can't buy another bike for what they want to give you...
