I've seen quite a few good ones, but I can't get another until I sell mine... I got $4K after deducting $250 for my deductible, and another $250 to retain my title. If I put $1500 into repairs, then sell it for $4K, that will put me at $6500. (by then all the good Winter deals will probably be gone though... )

Got my new front fender delivered today and it looked to be in good shape... Will be getting to work on putting everything back in order right after the holidays!

Ordered it on the 14th... Fedex trucked it from CO to GA, then gave it to the USPS for delivery to me in TN? After unpacking it I thinking the packaging weighs more than the fender itself...

I bought another fender, trim work, brackets, fork tube covers, and set of brake lines to make the repairs, (rest is cosmetic). Should have it back on the road in another couple weeks or so! Also did all the maintenance that was due on valves, plugs, air filter, oil change etc... Should be good to go for another 50,000 if I don't decide to sell it come Spring? I put 50,000 on it in the past two years, (65,000 on the bike now)

Check out the retro Z1? Would love to take a test ride on one to see if it measures up to my '73 model...

Hard to believe it's been 45 years since I had this Z1 in '73...

Found out yesterday that besides the battery going dead, I now have a leaking seal on my water pump... (damn cold weather @#$%!). Guess Winter is a good time to do repairs since you're not spending money on riding!

Finally finished with the repairs, over two months in the shop... Picking her up today, and get to ride home with temps around 60 degrees for the high today!

Congrats! It's always a good feeling to bring her home. I'm going to Venice Florida tomorrow morning, Suzuki has a recall on the some of the New style DL1000's. They will be installing a new ECU, no cost to me. It's a good excuse to ride, about 120 miles round trip, temp should be 75-80.

She rode like always on the fifty mile ride home this afternoon, loud and proud... The only difference is that I didn't have the broken wind deflectors replaced on the forks. I was a little surprised by the updraft blowing on my chest and face... Going to have some hard rain here on and off for the next few days, but should be able to venture out Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday! Probably a couple months before we see much of 80 degree weather here in hill country?
