Also; places i have not ridden, (or shouldn’t have)

#1: The back road into Fort Bragg, California. This was on the scheduled route for 3 Flags Classic. Rode it about two o’clock in the morning

#2: The back road into Jerome, Arizona. Road surface has some ‘challenges’. Also no white line and no guard rails. IT’S A LONG WAY DOWN.

Riding to Homer Alaska after Midnight in fog dodging moose and ending up in the middle of a herd of caribou. There's not a lot to do down on the Spit at 2:30 in the morning!

    1. Prentice Cooper State Forest near Chattanooga. 9 miles each way of deep loose gravel road on a Goldwing. If you look at a map it should have come out the other end. All for a free camping spot.

    2. Route 56 through Oklahoma. When you pave a road you should roll it smooth before you let the traffic on it.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way.
I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Years ago, while spending some time wandering around in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park, I decided I wanted to take a look see at the Sequoia tree stumps in Big Stump Basin. After riding my ol' Concours about 3/4 of the way down the dirt road, plagued with big water filled mud holes and vast ruts to get to those big stumps, I began to re-think what I was doing and where I was at, but I trudged on. Should I have ridden back to "Big Stump Basin" all by myself with no one else in sight? Probably not. Once I got to see all of the massive Sequoia stumps was I glad I made the endeavor??? You bet!!
