    Tims Ford weekend

We had a fantastic time in southern Tennessee at Tims Ford SP. I think I should rename this event the "Food and music tour" We had such good food this weekend starting on Friday night at John T's in Winchester Tn. Then on Saturday we rode up to Bell Buckle, Tn for some great southern food at the Bell Buckle cafe. While we waited for our food to arrive, a couple of guys got up on a small stage that they have set up in the back which was right in front of where we were sitting. For me, this falls into the category of don't judge a book by it's cover. These guys looked like they should have quit playing a long time ago and I was expecting some lame old tunes that would have been popular back when my parents were listening to country music ( think Hank Snow). Much to our surprise, they played All along the watchtower (Dylan not Hendricks version), Tom Petty, Lyle Lovett and so on. It turned out to be pretty enjoyable so, my bad. Saturday we had planned to have everyone bring a can of chili and mix it all together but, Brenda Hendrickson made so much of her own batch that we just chowed down on what she had brought. We had campfires on both Friday and Saturday night and since Randy has an app on his phone that shows when a satellite will come into view in the night sky, we all waited till around 8:00 pm to watch the International Space station go streaking by for a few seconds before it waded from sight. It's a shame almost everybody missed this one, it was a great weekend and the weather was fantastic. My thanks to Triker Dan, Meach, and RJ-97 for attending.

Would have been nice to be there, but health seems to always get in the way.

    Re: Tims Ford weekend

I am sorry for missing this one. Planned on going for months.

Maybe Randy said what happened. I told him I was going passed Denver.

LOL I drove my truck, and a U-Haul enclosed trailer to Seattle.......

    I delivered this.

I bought it on CL I told Randy the story. I just did not say where I was going. I made $6000 on the deal, so I had to miss the campout.
Never took I-90 across before, I did go to SD once. So when I found myself going over Lookout Pass and 4th of July Pass at midnight and it dropped to 29*.
3-5 inches of Snow on top. I wondered why there was no Traffic.......LOL

So I left KC noon Thursday, arrived at Mt. Vernon, north of Seattle on I-5. about 1pm Sat.
Left at 4pm, Sat. and pulled into home at 5am Tuesday (today).
The guy paid me $1000 to deliver it. But it took all of that for motels, eats and gas. $3.07 gal in Wash.
$2.15 in St. Joseph, Mo. What a crazy, 4000 mile round trip. Good news I think I found a Trike, I told
the man I hope to buy it when he returns, after winter in Ca. He is 88 and lost sight in one eye, he offered
me a great price. Hope it works out.

I got a Sturgis 2017 hat at a gas station, near Sturgis, $14. lol

Sorry I missed it Guys, but I got some stories to tell, around the campfire next year
