Why not? It's right in there with pudding and sweetbreads.

    From the internet:

Scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other trimmings, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth. Once cooked, bones and fat are removed, the meat is reserved, and (dry) cornmeal and spices are boiled in the broth to make a mush.

    Basically...everything except the "Oink"!

Pan fried in a cast iron skillet is good and deep fried scrapple is EXTRA crisp!! My wife and daughters really dislike scrapple, I was raised on it and when I lived in GA I really missed having it for breakfast.

There was discussion about having a Scrapple Camping Cookout...but it never came to be... !

Hailing from Lancaster County in PA... I can get scrapple every day if I want. Be aware that there is also Liver Mush, which is similar, but not the same. Not that's bad, just different.

I haven't had scrapple lately but do enjoy it pan fried. It is only available here, in western NY, as frozen prepackaged slices. Have not seen it fresh made.
