Thanks Steve, being a bigger guy they did mine through the side. I'll probably do the other one fairly soon.

Well folks it's been a week and so far all is going well! The only issue I have is getting up out of the recliner that I sleep in, but that will hopefully be resolved in a few days. Godzilla is going to actually let me buy a new one instead of the ones she drags home from sales that her friend has re-apholstered.

Thanks again for all the kind words and thoughts, they are appreciated!

Glad you're healing up. I had my first one done and rode 4 months later I was riding again, had to wait for warm weather. I rode 2 months after I had the second one done. I had a Harley before surgery cos it was the only bike I could ride because my knees were lower than my hips. After replacements I could ride a sport touring bike. Keep up with the PT and you'll be riding in the spring for sure! Good luck.

Thanks LDM, that is good to hear! I haven't ridden my poor little V-Strom in a couple of years now. The biggest issue I had with my Road King (other than the hopping around to get on) was getting the kickstand down. It will be good to just get on and ride!

Hey Steve!! Hope your new replacement parts are getting seated in well and the next trip to the shop to get the other side done goes well also!

Thanks Roger, if things continue as they have I may not need the second one done as soon as they thought!

I went back to the doctor yesterday and he seemed to be very pleased with my progress. Told me I could start driving and ditch the walker for a cane. So far, so good!
