    2009 Rare Aligner Alite 400

After a lot of debate and thought we have decided to sell our Columbia Northwest Alite Aligner 400. This is a rare Aframe hard sided camper that isn't manufactured anymore. It has always been stored inside and is excellent condition. Has a full sized bed, 120 and 12 volt power, outside storage, and fantastic fan. Is in excellent condition. The factory states it weights 400 lbs empty. We pull it with our Goldwing 1800 trike. We recently purchased another 2 wheel bike and want to go back to a lighter camper that we can tow on 2 wheels or 3. $4500.00

I would be interested to see what your Alite actually weighs. We looked at one, the sticker and paperwork said 400 lbs but when we weighed it we saw the tongue was 120 lbs and the total weight was 620 lbs. This was a standard model with the fiberglass storage on the front and completely empty, no stuff inside.

    Thanks,

    Charles,
My husband Clint (fabricator) agrees it most likely weighs more than the factory claims. Although we towed it from 7280 miles last summer on our trip to the west coast from Ohio with our 1800 trike. He had to pull over once in Bighorns to let the trike cool down a little but towing doesn't ususally slow him down.

    Hi Everyone,
We sold our Alite this weekend. We are on the look out for a used Lee sure lite. No hurry since for us motocamping season is over for this year due to weather. If anyone knows of one let us know.
    Thanks,
    Susan

With the USA/Canadian dollar ratio, it might be worth your while to contact Leesure Lite directly and purchase from Canada. Would make for a nice road trip next summer.

I agree. I ordered mine with Dawn and such a pleasant experience. Very nice folks to work with.

You’re right! They are very nice people. I stopped in just for a visit; even though my R-A-H was in the local campground they were very cordial.

While you’re there, a nice place to stop is just up the street in a warehouse that is the home of a very large, functioning Model Train Museum.

I did the first visit in the AM, and then returned in the afternoon to see more.
