    Heading to Vermont

Doing a ride this week to Cambridge, VT for a wedding. On the way up, we are not going to do the whole ride in one shot, but will stop at a CG in NY state and then resume the travel in the morning. We are planning to stop at Max V. Shaul SP in Fultonham, NY. Will post a campsite review upon our return. In Vermont we have decided to stay at a B&B in Jefferson, VT and then on the return ride home, find another StatePark for camping. Hoping for good weather!

Your wedding? Have relatives up in Vermont, or the wife does I should say. Nice riding up there except the speed limit is only 50. Everybody drives at 45 though so it doesn't matter.

No...my wedding was 42 years ago end of September...she's a keeper. This is a niece's wedding we are attending and make a short camping trip out of. Camping on the way up and then a B&B and then camping on the way home.

    Re: Heading to Vermont

Well for a CG report...Can't say much about Max V. Shaul SP in Fultonham, NY. We pulled in late and it was mostly empty, including no rangers and no sign up documents for the campsites. We pulled in on a VERY rough road to find an empty campsite. Set up the Bunkhouse and looked for the shower facility. We had to drive around to find the ONE shower facility (which really needed cleaning) in the entire CG. Since it was so late we didn't even bother with a fire. In the morning, made coffee and wrapped up the bunkhouse to depart. Still no ranger or paperwork...so we got a free night! But not one of the better SP CG's we have stayed at before. Not one that I would recommend unless you couldn't find another!!
