Congratulations! I retired Nov 30th of last year. Finding out that I dont know how I had time to work. I am doing a lots of odd and ends that use to take up a lot of my time in the evenings.
    Good luck and have fun.

Larry, been retired(this last time) for 10 years this past January...and I was a little apprehensive, concerned I might run out of money before I ran out of life...think I may have a handle on that now...the second big issue is that retirement passes MUCH too fast...especially if one is enjoying the "do what you want" lifestyle....the camping, motorcycle riding, fishing, etc...I am already over 10 years into it and try and tell myself that the best is yet to come...but being the smart fellow that I am, I know that is probably not the case...Life and doctors really start getting in the way and one is soon looking 80 years old in the face....gotta stay positive and optimistic otherwise one might get into a depressed "funk" that has a way of dampening one's desire to stay happy. Be safe, stay happy and above all others, stay "regular."

I worked in health care - rehab, & got tired of seeing people in their 40's coming through after MI's and CVAs. Guess not tired but depressing. So I retired (really just quit working) at 55. Been 17 yrs now.

Congrats on making it out alive. I went out May a year ago after 36 yrs of making paper. Do what ya wanna do when ya wanna do it. I have several hobbies that keep me busy, took up a part time service tech job for one of the mill vendors. Great job because, I can call my own hours or no hours if I wanna travel. Put a little over 10K miles on the ole gal since the first of Jan. Enjoy life, you earned it.

Retired in May, took a 6 week trip out to Wy, Mont, Ida...returned home and after about 6 weeks I'm bored, going back to work part-time figure 20 hrs a week is enough to get me a little traveling monies.

We have been camping in our pop up since the 5th of July. We are currently camping along the river in the Granite Falls, WA area. We will be ending our campout this next week and traveling to Yuma to our new place.

The pop up camping has been fun but we are ready for our "new to us" home and meeting new friends in Yuma. I also miss my motorcycles. They have been in Yuma since the middle of June.
