    Is anyone planning on going to Hunts for this event? Was planning on Hopkinsville as its closer to home but everything is booked up.
    The deepest spot in Lake Superior, The largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

    LBL has a lot of backcountry spots that don't require a reservation. I'd hate to send you there to find nothing available. They are 45-min from Hopkinsville, but will get about 98% totality. Check this link out to find out how much you will see where you are:

    Couple of us will be meeting/staying at Willville 8/18-22 and riding down to the Dragon on Monday for the eclipse. B.

    Guessing I'll head toward Eddyville, Ky. LBL looks to be a good call, within a short ride to the max eclipse line. Was there month ago and hard to imagine all the camping spots would be filled. Just wish grandkids could get away from school for the day. Cloudy day would sure be a downer.

    We'll be in Paducah KY camping with some friends from another forum. The 21st is also Joyce's birthday and what better way to celebrate.

    Happy Birthday to Joyce...one that she will long remember. Paducah will put you in a very good viewing line....we will be in Hopkinsville.
