Thanks for sharing that info hozerdude. I'm a DD and those CTs handle just as well as MTs up in the mountains (but then I'm not a peg dragger).

Sure hope the blizzard season is over. That last one was a real doozy up here on the north side of town. I got about 13 inches

Nothing wrong with that if you in a RV if you are on the road but who would want to camp a Walmart or Cabellas . Now when I went to pick up my new camper for my bike on my way back from California to Colorado I did setup my camper at a Walmart in Mesquite NV Not a place I would go camping at lol. But it was a quickie place to setup my camper for the night for free. I have to say there are a sh|t load of places to go camping for free on that https://freecampsites.net website I will be going to go to when the weather get warmer here in Colorado. I will also use my camper to go to Sturgis this year and camp for free!!!

Found a good tool to see the campsites before you go to them from https://freecampsites.net/

I have been using Google Earth. What I do is copy and paste the gps coordinates found on the top left of the campsite info and paste it in the search area on the top left of the page in the search box of Google Earth. It will show you what the campsites look like. A great tool to check out the campsites before you go.

here is the link to to download google earth

    Enjoy!

I do basically the same thing with Satellite view and Street View (if available) with Google maps. by just zooming in.

I've been using free campsites.net for quite a number of years now. Things you have to watch for is road access could be difficult with a touring rig and trailer and I prefer to have some kind of a toilet facility for my morning constitutional. Lack of water/electric (which is the norm at most of the free campsites) is not an issue for me.

Just figured out how to use the gps coordinates on my Garmin Nuvi GPS when I use the gps coordinates from that website. Seems to be more accurate than Mapquest IMHO. Yea Buddy

You will want to double check some of them with Google Maps on Satellite view 1st, to zero right in on the spot. I have found some of them to be off a bit, although in the general vicinity.
Once you have located it on Google Maps, use those coordinates to get you there.
Same goes with the GPS coordinates on some of those listed on usacampgrounds.com. Do your visual research 1st!
