    Xr650l Moto Camping

Hello, new here, Dave from New Jersey! Im wanting to get into weekend moto camping/riding, I do not need big side racks and panniers, so I am asking on a Honda Xr650L, which soft luggage or rear trunk to fit on an AlumiRacks to pack maybe tarps and ropes and maybe cooking stuff, without burning on side plastic and exhaust! Also if anyone knows springer on here, I love his tank on his Xr650L, please contact him for me

Welcome from Western Kentucky Dave! I think Springer only has a couple of posts, but hopefully he may still be lurking or check in from time to time. Most people that I know use either a Givi or Shad, or one of the many Givi knock offs.

Here is a couple of links to see whats out there.

And here is a link to a low price one that popped up on a search. I can't speak to the quality of it, but it's hard to beat $35.45 if it fits your size needs.

If I were buying soft luggage, I would probably go with a set from Wolfman, you can get most anything you need, including waterproof bags.

Welcome from SE Alaska. We use a Turbocity rack on the XR650L with waterproof stuff sacks. You should look into reinforcing the rear subframe, its pretty weak.

Welcome from Northern KY. You've picked a solid mount to start your moto camping life's journey on. In case you're not familiar with Advriders they cover a lot of dual sport camping and riding. Check out this forum and I'm sure you'll find more info than can be read in a few days.

IRONHEADZIGGY76 has some good suggestions also. Be sure & post back here your thoughts & pics. Good luck partner.
