    Re: longest trip

In 2000 I took a nice long road trip that consisted of one month, no time schedule to follow, almost 8000 miles, visited and stayed with relatives along the way for 7 nights, stayed in motels for 3 nights, camped the rest of the time, spent about $900 dollars and not one drop of rain the entire trip!! Left home in Southern Illinois and headed straight for Texas then onto New Mexico, Arizona, up the coast of California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado then made tracks back home thru Kansas and Missouri. I saw a lot of cool scenery, visited several national parks and met some nice folks.

All in all, it has been the BEST 30 days of my life so far!!!

    Re: longest trip

A few years ago I and a friend went to St Mary's Montana, The route we took went from Jacksonville Florida through the southern states to Arkansas then north to US 2. West on US 2 to Browning Montana then north on 89. When we left we went to Red Lodge to ride Bear Tooth and go to Yellowstone. From there we went to Hill City, SD. About 6700+ miles and about 22 days. Lostsa fun.

    Re: longest trip

I recently returned home from my retirement/survived cancer trip. I was on the road from May 25th to August 4th. I covered 19,500 miles from Alaska to California, back to the Yukon then to the Great Lakes to do an Ironbutt ride around Lake Superior. After spending time with family in Michigan I headed west to Billings/Bear tooth/Yellowstone and catch the finish of the Ironbutt Rally on the way. After Yellowstone I headed east to Sioux Falls to see family and on to Iowa for a poker run to benefit a small town church. Then it was back to Michigan to see more family and attend a Camp out. After the Camp out it was time to head west again and finally north back to Alaska. I had a great time and am thinking about next year..... let's see, 3 back tires, 2 fronts, 2 sets of camper tires.... that's about it
