I've been using this Self Inflatable Pad for about 3 years now. It's durable and easy to pack (Using Jed Clampett technology).

I bought mine at Wal-mart but I don't know if they're still selling them.
The pad utilizes 4 air bladders,
1. Non-self-inflatable pillow, inflate to your heart's content
2. Self-inflatable upper bladder behind upper back
3. Self-inflatable middle bladder around hip area
4. Self-inflatable lower bladder under legs/feet
Having several adjustable lateral bladders makes this pad better, IMHO, than a single bladder mat or one that has longitudinal bladders.
I like being able to reach under my bag in the middle of the night and let some air out to adjust where the padding fits me best.
Maybe that's why I bought a sleep number bed for the wife.
I mainly use this bag on top of my cot and it gives great padding and insulation to an otherwise ho-hum cot sleeping experience.
Picture index:
1. Full view of the fully self-inflated pad (the only thing I puffed up was the pillow, not removing tags is imperative to maintain Jed Clampett chic)
2. Closeup of pillow and top bladder
3. Deflated bag being unrolled inside Helen 2 Wheels large rolltop bag
4. Deflated bag unrolled in H2W bag gives the bag strength to stand up and still have room for my 2 sleeping bags, foam pillow, tent fan, and an occasional MRE pouch or 2.
5. Fully deflated pad
6. Pad setup on cot waiting for sleeping bag.
