I am going to work on mine tonight and tomorrow, one thing I might do is have a squeeze bottle of ivory soap for hands, shower, hair, and anything else that gets dirty, and also I use the alarm on my cell phone.
Charmin "Fresh Mates" (http://www.charmin.com/en_us/pages/prod_fresh.shtml) could also be handy to help clean things, they come 10 to a small package

Dang Joe,
I have the same folding tooth brush, Bic Razor & Arrid XX. Along with the other essentials you have pictured I have to pack contact lens solution. I also keep a little bottle of hand sanitizer stowed. I would take a picture, but I just finished packing for an over night mc trip. Gonna camp on the Colorado River at Parker, AZ. this weekend.

Much the same for me-
soap, folding toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, comb or brush, disposable razor, small bottle of pain killers, nail clippers, shampoo....
I have a smallish microfiber towel that when folded just fits in my kit. These things are great!
I think I'll be experimenting with some No-Rinse shampoo also. Never tried it, and since I have a growing "thin spot" it might make personal grooming faster.

Most everything is about the same for me too. I did find a product that I liked last summer that I call "Manly Wipes". Most any Walmart has them in the sporting goods section and they even have a picture of the woods in the background.:D
http://www.playtexproductsinc.com/wetones/wo_outdoors.asp
You can use several and take a "Whore Bath" if you find yourself nowhere near a shower and you would like to freshen up on the trail.:p
If you don't have a lot of room, the ones Steve mentioned would probably work better. A new Wet Ones pack is about 9.5"x4.5"x1"

Hi All,
I usually don't carry a toiletries bag it's self, but I do have a wash cloth, bottle of campsuds, tooth brush, and toothpaste. I shave when I get home. The campsuds can be used to wash anything, hair, hands, pots, or even your face shield.
Guy
I carry most of the same stuff mentioned in other posts. Additions I carry are an electric razor, A&D Lotion and Wet Wipes. Strange food and water get to my gastro/intestinal system and that is what the wet wipes and A&D are all about. A&D is found in the baby section of drug stores and is for treating diaper rash. When the strange food in a restaurant gives me the runs, wet wipes and A&D come to the rescue to sooth my sore rear end. A slightly touchy subject, but lots of people have trouble with strange food, ask a lot of people who have taken a trip to Mexico! Montezuma's Revenge!

I keep seeing the Anti-Monkey butt powder, does anyone here use it? I have yet to try it.
I bought a pair of Under Armor compression shorts and they really do the trick for those 800 mile days. I like them instead of the normal bicycle shorts because they don't have all of the padding which I think would be uncomfortable for me.
I tried my cousins Air Hawk pad but didn't like it because it seemed to bunch up under me. Maybe if I played with the air pressure it would have been better. He swears by it, but he has a really bad back that was broken in several places due to a motorcycle wreck in the early 80's.
Let's face it, if the butt isn't comfy you ain't goin far!:p :)

OK............I know that I'm catching up on the new threads that might be old, butwhat the heck. There is one major thing that everyone is missing, BREATH RIGHT Strips. I'm a snoring machine, one of these makes me a well liked camper. Without them, I can be heard from a mile away.
Quiet time means quiet time....................
just my 2 cents.

Gold Bond Powder in the green bottle! That stuff is great for everything from monkey butt to chigger bites. Another option is Anti-Monkey Butt powder. It sounds rediculous but it works.

One more thing:
Vaseline. It'll help a whole bunch of things. Ease in a cranky ear plug, cover a burn or a scratch, take the sting out of your cheeks after 2 weeks on the road. Miracle stuff, really.

My longtime toiletries bag burned up on the Yamaha conflagration a few weeks ago. Saved the contents, tho. Pretty much the same as everyone else.

For the ultimate in 'undies' try LDComfort riding shorts. They are made by a rider for long distance riders and really do the job. http://www.LDComfort.com Yes, they aren't cheap, but worth every penny.

I bring way too much stuff, but that's ok if I'm dragging the trailer. Not so much if tenting off the V-Strom. Prefer the trailer.
But speaking of toilet(s), when I stop for a refreshing gatoraid or poweraid to replentish my precious body fluids, I get one of the larger bottles (minimum 20 oz.). After I've consumed the contents I save the bottle for later use. Sometimes I just gotta go in the middle of the night and that's when the empty bottle is greatly appreciated.
I usually bring an electric shaver, which lasts me the entire trip. I got a first aid kit for my Alaska trip and will probably bring it along wherever I go.
I pack lots of gum (I prefer Trident). Chewing gum keeps me awake for some reason. Helpsed me finish a 23 hour Iron Butt Ride.
A small roll of antiacid and acid reflux pills and ibuprophen are a must.
I also throw a few aa and aaa batteries in.
Funny thing is I bring a lot of stuff that is readily available most everywhere.
I packed so much stuff on my trip to Alaska, I shipped a bunch back at Whitefish MT via UPS before crossing the USA/Canada border.

Maybe I didn't post it here. Pics at ST-Owners, tho.
Coming back from Salton Sea weekend, my right saddle bag caught on fire, after 500 miles of no problems. My fault for packing it wrong, I guess, but the muffler got it. Ruined the bag and some clothes, and that toiletries bag. I caught it before it really got going, but...

Yep, the waterproof one! :p
I keep a couple of the Charmin "To Go" mini-rolls stashed in the tool box of my ATV that work well and they don't take up a lot of space. They have a dispenser with a 55 sheet coreless roll. Very handy! Here's a link to have a look.

I usually bring vaseline and hand sanitizer -- soak cotton balls with Vaseline and they become a water proof fire starter. Hand Sanitizer is also extremely flamable. Remember that many of the things we bring can be used in survival situation.

Guy,
I found out that corn chips of all things are a great way to start a fire if you need to. Amazing what you learn as a kid when goofing off around camp. Oh yea that was a long time ago...

I almost always have at least a weekends worth of toiletry stuff on me for unexpected overnights in a little zipped pouch.
small folding toothbrush
sample sized toothpaste (I'm a dental supply dealer, I have a jilion of these)
a little floss tin, about the size of 3 quarters stacked
I also have business cards that are actually floss containers
old spice deodorant\anti perspirant wipes, these are great
mini axe spray, the uber mini ones, about the size of a binaca spray
sample sized colognes (about the size of half a cigarette)
mini mouthwash
folding brush\mirror
microforce shaver
clipped to the outside of my tankbag is copportone travel size SPF 45
As Stallone would say, condominiums.
Usually in a small waterproof snap closed clear box, about 8x5x1.5 to supplement the above
handy wipes in single packets, courtesy of a restaurant
mini Dr. Bronners soap, almond scent
hotel sized soap bars
hotel sized shampoo
hotel sized
travel sized cologne
An extra travel sized toothpaste
mini toilet paper roll
mini bounty to go roll
matches
cough\cold\flew strips
24"x2" stay cool gel wrap, you can cut it and wrap it around injurys, rash, burn, e.t.c.
MSR packtowl (yes its spelled that way)
matches
single servings meds
q-tips
spare charger for above microforce shaver
razor blades and shave cream (the 'lectric is for touch ups or 5 o'clock shadow)
nail clippers
neosporin
some kind of pain killer, pop two before a trip (aleve works best)

In aviation we call it a R.O.N kit which stands for "remain over night" . Much more manly than Toiletries bag. With 3 daughters, I need to be manly when I can.:)
Mine has a bunch of stuff I don't use at home, I don't know what makes me think I will need it in the middle of nowhere.:confused:
Recent additions due to member suggestions are Quarters for the truck stop shower, a spare key in case I drop mine in the mud, oh yeah and breath right strips in case Trailace has a gun.
Also you would hate to find out that your snoring sounds exactly like that of a black bear in heat or something.

I stick with the basics since I am limited on space more so than most of you. Tooth brush, tooth past, nail clippers, a few band aids (or liquid band aid), soap/shampoo, and handy wipes that double nicely as TP when needed. I also include a small travel bottle of Ibuprofen but will add any other meds I may need to the same bottle, then I add some cotten to the bottle to help reduce everything from getting pounded to dust. Recently I added a very small LED pen light to my bag as it sometimes comes in handy. The LED will last much longer than a standard pen light and hold up the the pounding and vibrations on my old bike. Most can be had for around $10.00 and are as small as an AA battery so I usually take several along with me, on in my toiletries bag, one in my jacket and another in my tool bag. I roll everything up in a micro fiber towel and put that in a large freezer bag. I used to carry sunblock and bug repellent but move that to a more accessable fork bag. It is an on-going process with every trip to determining what I take and what I leave behind.

You know the "Shamwow" towels? Well, the dollar store version, at 3 in a bag (they're orange) and thicker than the sham, actually OUTLAST the German Shamwow that is really expensive. They are water magnets - dry out everything. Roll up wet socks in them and squeeze, use for shower towel, dry off tent floors and tabletops and anything.
Lemon Pledge is what I wax my chrome queen with - but a little in a fifty-cent Walmart pump bottle also cleans my glasses and windshield on the road.
Ibuprofin is your friend. :) I keep those in inkpen-sized pill vials I got with the "Stacker II" pack thermogenics. Also a couple sleeping pills for campgrounds with kids and dogs or party animals. Prefer to go primitive tho.
