I've had these boots for just over a year now.
They have been excellent in Hot or Cold weather. They have also been 100% waterproof.
They fit like they were made for my feet, they were just a little snug when I first tried them on but it only took wearing them a couple times before they felt like my 2nd skin.
After a year of use, they are a little scuffed up from camping trips and the tread is a little worn but they still feel like they will keep going and going and going.
Totally satisfied.
They are about $160 at www.motorcyclecloseouts.com

I got my set from www.newenough.com for $126 last year. Not bad boots but I liked by goretex Alpinestar boots better. Much more comfortable.

Welcome to the site, I've heard lots of good things about Alpinestar boots in general but never had a pair.
You're more than welcome to post a review if you want.

Hey Joe, I've always had problem getting into some boots (high arch ?), I have hard time getting heel down in place. How are these? Been looking at the Oxtar's for awhile

My girlfriend, after seeing the shape my Oxtars were in, got me a pair of Tourmaster Cortech boots - basically, the same boot. But, I really have to work my heel into those boots but they are comfortable after that. They are still new and what she doesn't know is they'll stay in the closet until my Oxtars fall of my feet.
The Oxtars seem to open up wider and let your foot slide in better. They will lossen up even more after the first few times you wear them.
Hope that helps.

I got my Oxtar Matrix boots about a year and a half ago. I was initially unimpressed as they were fairly stiff, compared to the Sidi Onroad Sympatex boots I've been wearing. They were $129.00 at Newenough.com, at the time.
Oddly enough, I have begun wearing the Oxtars more and more, and they have broken in nicely. My only complaint is that the right boot feels narrower than the left on, and, as I have large (size 13) feet, they feel a tad short, however the Oxtars don't come any bigger than a 13. I think their idea of size 13 is more like a 12 1/2. However, they are very comfortable for riding, I guess they're waterproof, but I haven't ridden in any rain to speak of with them. I just wouldn't wear them for long hikes in the mountians. I think I'm beginning to like them better than the Sidis.

I looked at the Oxtar boots, then tried on a pair of Alpinestar Stage Gortex. That was about three years ago, they now have about 40000 miles under them. They are so comfortable that I got another set for when these give up the ghost. They discontinued that particular model, but I found a new pair on ebay for $55 delivered. Particularly like the side zipper going all the way to the sole, that they are waterproof if you don't go wading, and really comfortable.:)

Harry, when you have time and if you want to.. please post a separate review on them in this section. I'm sure others would like to see it. Just so your comments on THAT boot don't get lost in the comments on THIS one. Thanks!

Yeah, they're pretty nice boots. I also have a pair of Sidi Strada Tepors.
I picked up a pair last year during a sale at the local Honda shop. They couldn't sell them for the longest time (not dirt or cruiser boots), so I was able to get them for less than $100.
Patience, grasshopper. Good deals ARE out there.
